Mana was born to Egyptian parents in the town of Domino, and is now in her last year of high school. She's developed an interest in fashion design, and has applied for a number of courses at Domino University. Currently she has three offers pending, and will choose one when she graduates at the end of her final year. Her mother has been raising her for three years following the death of her father in a boating accident, and despite missing him, Mana knows that he's well and happy in the Egyptian afterlife.

Recently, however, Mana's life has been disturbed by unusual visions of ancient Egypt, in which she served a pharaoh and was apprentice to a magician named Mahaado. The visions have grown more frequent over the years, and her parents have recommended counselling for her in order to try and make sense of these strange visions. She also feels a peculiar affinity to the Black Magician Girl card, and has felt connected to it all her life, but she can't explain the link between her and it. However, her life is, for the most part, full and happy, and aside from the visions, she is looking forward to what the future holds in store for her. But she hopes that she can find an answer to these strange visions so she can lay them to rest and get on with her life.
